Our studio sources the finest woods and veneers for our exquisite work with an eye for the most beautiful patterns, color, texture and the appropriate density but also with a mind for sustainability for the future. Many of our sources are small scale boutique wood cutters who themselves have a careful, intimate knowledge of the trees and the natural world and are able to find amazing, beautiful materials suitable for the finest work and things that last.

  • We work with the finest bespoke suppliers within the United States to source beautiful woods from all over the world, and while it is not always clear the source of individual materials, we place an emphasis on suppliers who sustainable and ethically source these materials.

  • Care varies depending on what the wood is and what kind of finish we apply to it. In general, clean up spills immediately and dust carefully with a clean microfiber cloth always going with the grain of the wood. For specific care instructions for one of our pieces, feel free to contact our studio for more information.

  • Please email info@newelldesignstudio.com for any sample requests. Samples must be requested with a sidemark or job name and we reserve the right to limit the number of samples on request.

  • Many of our pieces can be customized with different wood finishes or species. Please send us a photo or scan of the material you are interested in via email and we will determine if this is something that we can accommodate or is suitable for the design in question. Once we are able to provide an estimate for the custom finish, we will be glad to provide a sample for approval after a purchase order and deposit is received for that piece.
